PUMS made significant ammendments in the 2020 admission requirements allowing applicants provide their high school diplomas later and sit structured exams (required for the graduate entry programme) until the end of 1st year making it much easier for many to apply.

Famous Alumni from Polish Medical School: PUMS – Maria Siemionow: world-renowned expert on reconstruction surgery, microsurgery, nerve regeneration, tissue transplantation, hand and face transplantation studied medicine in Poland. Currently she is working as Director of Microsurgery Research at the University of Illinois, Chicago and is a professor of PUMS Surgery Department. In 2008 she led the team that performed the 1st near-full face reconstructive transplantation in the US on a female patient victim of a shotgun blast.

Admissions to Poznan University of Medical Sciences 2020:
This year the application deadline for Medicine was extended until July 31.The quiz will take 60 minutes (instead of 1h15 mins). The oral part of the interview needs to be done within 30 minutes. The written quiz will be administered via the school’s distance learning platform OLAT. In order to make sure that the exam is secure we will be using additional on-line proctoring software called Proctor Exam. The oral part will be administered with the use of Microsoft Teams software as a videoconference between applicants and our professors.
Changes to Admission to Graduate Entry Medicine in Poland – Advanced MD Programme at PUMS
Due to test centres closures, this year PUMS allows graduates with university science degrees wishing to study medicine in Poznan, Poland, apply without MCAT, UCAT or GAMSAT and lets to pass these before the end of the first year of the programme. This is a significant change for all considering graduate entry medicine abroad.
